This is a hot air balloon flight which will make you discover a spectacular place in the south of France: the Pyrenees valley in the region of French Cerdanya. The latter is known for its astonishing landscapes in all seasons. Thanks to this flight, you will fly over it and admire its beauty in every detail, which will give you a change of scenery and allow you to feel emotions specific to open-air flights.

This flight allows you to disconnect from your routine during the week, with the accompaniment of a passionate balloonist who will be happy to help you discover his passion and his region. He is state qualified and has decades of experience and flights.

You will then meet at 7 a.m. on the day of the activity at the La Cerdanya Aerodrome, located 15 minutes by car from Bourg-Madame and 35 minutes from Bolquère. Once there, you will be welcomed by the balloonist with a welcome coffee and croissants. He will then give you a briefing, in which he will discuss the progress of the activity, but also the safety measures to take into account throughout the activity.

Around 7:30 a.m., the balloon will be ready for takeoff. You will fly for about an hour, above the valley, in the heart of the Catalan Pyrenees Regional Park. You will admire historic Roman monuments, spectacular natural spots and may even meet some birds from the region!

The landing will then take place on a flat area and you will take the opportunity to enjoy a drink offered by the balloonist, as well as some local products. Your pilot will then distribute the flight certificates to you, then you will reach the take-off location using our 4×4 vehicle. You will then return to your vehicles.

With the guidance and kindness of our instructor, you are sure to experience an incredible adventure in complete safety. Our balloon pilot has been a state graduate and has been a professional for over 10 years. He will generously share with you his passion for balloon flights, but also his deep love for this beautiful region, one of the sunniest annually in all of Europe.

He will then meet you at La Cerdanya Aerodrome, where he will welcome you at 7 a.m. You will be received with coffee and croissants for breakfast. This aerodrome is about fifteen minutes’ drive from Bourg-Madame and less than an hour by car from Bolquère.

After that, you will receive a briefing from the balloon pilot, which will contain the progress of this flight as well as all the safety instructions that must be followed. You will then be able to get on board the nacelle, so that the takeoff can take place. The flight will have an average duration of one hour, during which you will discover the flora of the Pyrenees Valley, but also its historical monuments and its fauna.

After landing, the balloonist will offer you a drink and you will enjoy a tasting of local products. This is the opportunity for you to debrief your activity while the pilot distributes the flight certificates to you. Afterwards, you will be picked up by a 4×4 vehicle to take you to the starting point to return to your cars.
