The Cantal de l'Alagnon in Cantal is a breathtaking natural attraction well worth a visit. This canyon located in Laveissière, a town in the Cantal department, is formed by the river making this place an entirely natural and preserved environment.

The Alagnon canyon is an ideal destination for lovers of outdoor excursions, in search of adventure. Hiking trails winding through the canyon offering you the diversity of sports and techniques during this activity. It is obvious that canyoning is a very complete water sport, bringing together swimming, jumps, slides, but also waterfall climbing. One of the highlights of the Alagnon Canyon is the Cascade de la Vierge, a popular spot for photography and is accessible by a hiking trail.

How is canyoning in Laveissière?

First, we are waiting for you at the reception of the nautical base to form the groups. Your instructor will come to you for a light briefing of the activity, remembering to give you the safety instructions.

In a second step, you will be taken to the canyon of Alagnon, through sublime paths. Once in front of the canyon, the material will be provided to equip you. It is important to follow the instructions for the smooth running of the activity. We will have you climb on abseils to make jumps up to 3 meters (not mandatory), you will have to slide along rock slides formed by the water.

We do not reveal everything to you, the objective is to surprise you.
