Descent of the Rouchoux canyon 1/2 day

Are you ready to experience an epic adventure in the Rouchoux Canyon?

The Rouchoux canyon is located in theHaute-Loire,near the town ofSaint-Privat-d’Allier. The descent of this canyon does not require great skills; on the contrary, it is perfectly suited for an introduction to canyoning. Thisexcursioninvolves rappelling, jumping, slidingand swimming through a series of more or less narrow gorges and waterfalls.

The descent begins with a hike of approximately 30 minutes through a forested area, followed by a short climb up a rocky slope to reach the entrance to the canyon.

Once in the canyon, the adventure begins! Yourinstructorwho supervises you will provide you with the necessary equipment such as ahelmet, a suit, a harness, a harnessand he will give you a demonstration of how to use them. It will teach you how to jump correctly, and how to slide downnatural slidesin complete safety. Your excursion begins with a series of jumps into deep pools.

Then, the Rouchoux canyon offers several abseils, where you must use your ropes to descend along the rock walls and the waterfalls. The highest abseil will allow you to reach abreathtaking view of the mountains.
In addition, you will have to navigate on the river which will take you to different pools deep enough to allow you to do a little swimming.
The activity lasts approximately 2.5 hours, of course we do it according to your pace, the goal being that you can fully enjoy this fantastic moment.
For your return, a hike as on the outward journey will be necessary to return to the starting point.
