Baptism in sled dogs in Gap-Bayard 30min

This is a baptism of mushing that you can do, for a first experience of sled dog. This will take the form of a half-hour dog sled ride, with a team driven by a professional musher and state qualified instructor. With it, your adventure will be safe, fun and memorable, in the heart of theSouthern Alps.

Indeed, your adventure takes place in the Hautes-Alpes department, in Gap, more precisely at the Gap-Bayard station. This town is located 20 minutes from Tallard and 40 minutes from Orcières and Embrun.

The meeting point is the resort restaurant. Arriving there, you will receive a warm welcome from your musher, who after receiving you, will introduce you to his pack made up of Nordic dogs. You can play with them and pet them, to create a bond with them. Then, the instructor will give you a safety briefing, which will provide you with information on how the activity will progress, but also on the safety instructions to follow.

After the hitch is ready, you will get into the sled, and then the adventure will begin! You will be towed by 8 to 10 dogs, for 30 minutes, in the Bayard plateau, surrounded by breathtaking snowy panoramas.

Good to know:

• The load weight of the sled cannot exceed 200 kg.
• This price is intended for children aged 12 and over, but also for adults.
• It is recommended to bring snow shoes, a ski mask, warm clothing with a hat and gloves.
