Snowshoe hike + igloo construction in Cerdagne

If you spend a few days of your winter vacation in the Pyrénées-Orientales department and you are looking for fun activities to do with your family, this offer is for you.

We offer you an offer comprising a combination of two activities: snowshoe hiking, then the discovery of igloo construction. These two activities will make you feel like you live at the North Pole! Entertainment, breathtaking discoveries and a change of scenery await you and your family members.

It is in the town of Porté-Puymorens that you will do this great activity, discovering the magnificent natural region of Cerdagne. This town is located 40 minutes from Font-Romeu-Odeillo-Via and one hour from Les Angles station.

At 9 a.m. or 2 p.m., depending on your preferences, you will meet our instructor at the meeting point you agreed upon before the day of the activity. On site, you will be briefed by the instructor, who is a mid-mountain guide. He is a state graduate and is passionate about the mountains and the Catalan Pyrenees. He will give you the best tips and instructions to make your activity as pleasant as possible.

Once you have all the necessary equipment, you can start your walk with an elevation gain of +50 m. This is easy and accessible even to children aged 9 and over. It will give you the opportunity to admire impressive landscapes and walk following the tracks of the animals that you may be lucky enough to come across. You will, all together with the guide, build an igloo in complete conviviality and with joy and good humor.

Towards the end of the activity, you will take a break where you will have a hot chocolate offered by the guide, in order to rest and warm up your body. You will then return on snowshoes, sliding down the descent to the starting point.
