Snowshoe hike + igloo construction in Cerdagne

If you are spending a few days of your winter holidays in the Pyrénées-Orientales department and you are looking for fun activities to do with your family, this offer is for you.

We offer you an offer comprising a combination of two activities: snowshoe hiking, then the discovery of igloo building. These two activities will give you the impression of living at the North Pole! Entertainment, breathtaking discoveries and a change of scenery await you and your family members.

It is in the town of Porté-Puymorens that you will do this great activity, exploring the magnificent natural region of Cerdagne. This town is 40 minutes from Font-Romeu-Odeillo-Via and one hour from Les Angles station.

At 9:00 a.m. or 2:00 p.m., depending on your preference, you will meet our instructor at the meeting point that you have agreed before the day of the activity. On site, a briefing will be given to you by the instructor, who is a mid-mountain guide. He is a state graduate and is passionate about the mountains and the Catalan Pyrenees. He will give you the best tips and instructions to make your activity as pleasant as possible.

Once you have all the necessary equipment, you can start your walk in elevation of + 50 m. This one is easy and accessible even to children from the age of 9. It will give you the opportunity to admire impressive landscapes and walk in the footsteps of animals that you may be lucky enough to come across. You will, all together with the guide, build an igloo in a friendly atmosphere and with joy and good humor.

Towards the end of the activity, you will take a break where you will have a hot chocolate offered by the guide, in order to rest and warm up your body. You will then return on snowshoes, letting yourself slide on the descent, to the starting point.
