Sports canyoning from Pont du Riolan 1 day

If you are a canyoning enthusiast and you love discovering canyons in several corners of France, what do you think of a day in the Alpes-Maritimes ?

A great opportunity to discover the wonderful surroundings of this beautiful department and the most breathtaking corners, thanks to the accompaniment of an instructor, who will supervise you and show you the natural slides , the abseilings, the deep basins and the very mineral high cliffs of the Riolan Canyon >.

The latter is of indescribable beauty, thanks to all the natural resources and greenery that it abounds. It is located between the two municipalities of Sigale and Aiglun. The canyon is therefore an hour's drive from Castellane and 1 hour 20 minutes from Nice. The setting is splendid and the Riolan Canyon is considered one of the most beautiful in the department.

In the heart of the Esteron Valley, meet your state-certified instructor to begin your sporty descent and to apply all the instructions and techniques that the instructor will give you presented previously in the briefing at the beginning.

You will, in fact, meet the instructor at the Riolan Bridge, give the briefing and put on your equipment. You will have at your disposal a helmet, a harness, a neoprene suit, ropes and waterproof backpacks and cans, to protect your personal belongings. Once everyone is ready, an approach walk of around ten is required to reach the starting point.

The first stage of this descent will be very diverse and will allow you to discover several aspects of this magnificent canyon. You will admire a waterfall with a height of more than 10 m, slides, abseilings, etc. You will explore every corner of the first part of the canyon, then you will stop after practicing sports for 2 hours, to have a small picnic in a sunny rock spot.

To reach the second part of the canyon, you will have to make a 6 m abseil descent, then enjoy this sporty course, with a series of challenges and challenges, for two additional hours.
