It all starts at our base in Vallon Pont d'Arc. Our instructors, attentive and passionate, explain the basics of kayaking, the safety rules and present the course. You receive a life jacket and a kayak suitable for your size. Let's go for the adventure!
The second part of the course gives you the opportunity to try out some small rapids. Bursts of laughter resonate with the lapping of water on the rocks. You finally pass under the famous Pont d'Arc! And as all good things come to an end, the adventure ends at Châmes beach.
This canoe kayak trip is a great opportunity to discover adventure, nature and gain confidence. The 6 km expedition in the Gorges de l'Ardèche will undoubtedly be an experience you will never forget!

- As an orientation, the duration of uninterrupted paddling generally varies between one hour and 1 hour 30 minutes. The adventure begins at our base camp located in Vallon Pont d'Arc. There, our friendly and knowledgeable team will give you an overview of navigation techniques, safety rules and the course of the descent.
Gliding gently through the water, you will marvel at the limestone cliffs that frame the river and the biodiversity of the area. Here's what you can expect on the day:
When you arrive in Vallon Pont d'Arc, our team expert will warmly welcome you and provide you with a full briefing on canoe-kayak navigation techniques, safety instructions and the course of the excursion. Even if you are a beginner, don't worry, we are here to guide you!
We will begin our descent just downstream of the famous Pont d'Arc , anatural arch 60 meters high which offers a breathtaking landscape. You will become familiar with your canoe-kayak and gain confidence as you paddle the calm waters of the river. We will continue our descent throughthe Ardèche Gorges, a true jewel of nature, bordered by imposing limestone cliffs, clear water and a diversified fauna and flora. On these 24 km, you will discover fascinating sites such as the Cathedral, an impressive cave with vertiginous walls and the Serre de Tourre, a spectacular view of the canyon.
In the middle of the route, we will take a break to appreciate the tranquility of the place, take souvenir photos. This is also the perfect time for a refreshing swim. After this break, we resume our descent, taking advantage of the last sensations of sliding on the water.
This 24 km canoe-kayak descent in the Ardèche Gorges is much more than a simple outdoor activity, it is a real immersion in a wild and preserved nature. An ascent you will remember for a long time!
