• Étampes: One hour from Paris, on the Boigny plateau, you will find expert paragliders who will introduce you to this aerial sport during tandem discovery flights lasting between 12 minutes and one hour. You can even train in one of the paragliding schools located there and become an experienced paraglider yourself.

- In Yvelines:

• Andrésy: This place is exceptional, no matter the type of experience you want to live. If you are looking for a place where any option is available. On site, you can choose between a paragliding baptism, an initiation course or even a complete training. Also, in this place, disabled people can fly in tandem paragliding. All of this is just 18 miles from Paris.

- In Seine-et-Marne:

• Chevry-en-Sereine: An hour and a half from the capital, you can discover this aerial sport due to the half-day paragliding sessions that take place in this district. Supervised by an expert paraglider, you can feel confident that your experience will be memorable and safe.

Who can paraglide near Paris?

Our instructors admit people as from five years old, as long as they have parental permission for all of the minors. It is also recommended not to weigh more than 14 stone, although some clubs, especially in Étampes, accepts wights up to 15 stone. Also, people with health problems who cannot attend training courses that last several days can also become paragliders for a day due to accompanied flights in a tandem cart.

How to dress to do the activity?

In the Paris region, our partner institutions recommend comfortable clothing, i.e. sportswear, especially necessary for landing. Sport shoes are also highly recommended.

Gloves and windproof clothing are very useful to cope with the air and temperatures, which can lower down quickly once you reach altitude.

When is the best time to fly?

The Parisian region has optimal weather conditions for paragliding, which allows out instructors to be open almost throughout the year. However, if the weather conditions don’t allow to fly on the chosen day, other dates will be offered to you, so don’t worry.
