What are the different options?

- If you go with your family, the Tavignano Gorges excursion is the best choice. With a duration of two hours, it is suitable for beginners, families with children and those who want to do more playful rather than a sporty activity.

- For the more sporty, or those looking for exceptional thrills, it is necessary to start from Ponte-Leccia on the Golo river. This river will attract the more adventurous who wish to experience more intense feelings during a half-day rafting trip.

Who can practice rafting in Corsica?

On the island of beauty, our rafting centers welcome everyone from the age of eight. However, the age may vary depending on the chosen formula. For example, in Ponte-Leccia, the courses are more difficult and will be allowed from the age of 14 for safety reasons. In the case of the easier routes, the minimum age to descend is eight years old.

In Ponte-Leccia, only people weighing between 5 and 21 stones (30 and 135 kg) will be allowed to climb the rafts. It is also necessary to be in good physical condition and not to have any medical contraindication to practice this sport.

When is the best time for a descent?

From early spring to late autumn, you can practice rafting on the island of beauty. It is the best time to practice this water sport, since the thawing of the peaks in spring and the rains in autumn contribute greatly to the increase of the flow of rivers and to the realization of this activity.
