Welcome to the wild beaches of Vendée, legendary spots for board sports! With Koa Surf School, take to the open sea aboard your board and explore the Pertuis Breton along the waves and tides.

It is in La Tranche-sur-Mer that we will meet you, in the famous Terrière beach spot. Located just opposite the Île de Ré, it offers sumptuous landscapes, preserved from urbanization and teeming with fascinating biodiversity. On the coast of the Marais Poitevin, we have a marine odyssey in store for you between swirling waves and fine sand of the dunes and put our high-quality equipment at your service.

• Our surfing activities: during a single session or a week-long course, discover the excitement of surfing and feel all the power of the ocean with our qualified instructors! From the children's formula to the adult introductory course, come and taste our different educational and fun options, and share our passion for gliding on the tumultuous waves of the Atlantic.

• Our stand-up paddle outings: during a ride at your own pace, or also a week-long course, discover the charming Vendée coastline! An activity which, although it gives you plenty of time to contemplate the striking panorama of the Côte de Lumière, nonetheless remains very sporty. At the pace of a walk, you embark on a fitness session without even realizing it: enough to combine business with pleasure.

Our paddle equipment is also available for rental. Enjoy the sensations of freedom offered by the ocean as you wish, within the limits of beach zoning and the safety instructions that will be communicated to you.

While Brice has settled in Nice, and Igor reigns over Hossegor, Koa Surf School has set up shop in La Tranche-sur-Mer, on Terrière beach. Renowned surf spot, it is located in the heart of the wild coasts of the Marais Poitevin and opposite the sublime Île de Ré. Between Pays d'Olonne and Côte de Lumière, the tranquility of the place offers you an ideal playground to carry out your exploits aboard your board. We have put together several snow sports activities for you depending on the length of your stay:

• Our day surf sessions: a discovery or improvement course for everyone! Learn how to stand up for the first time or adjust your technique with our state-certified instructors. The Vendée coastline offers particularly suitable conditions for learning, with its regular waves and its relatively uncrowded coastline.

• Our surfing courses: lasting one week andintended for children, they offer fun teaching to help little ones discover the thrills of surfing! The pace of learning is perfectly suited to young people aged 5 to 8, who will be in the hands of an approved instructor. On the program, an initiation as fun as it is technical to perform your first feats on the waves!

Surfing is above all a community spirit that we have shared for more than fifteen years at Koa Surf School. It is a water sport which consists of using a board and a paddle to stand on the board and paddle to help you move forward and steer yourself. This activity is currently very popular.

There are two ways to do it, the way which is more calm and relaxing and where you enjoy being on the water admiring the landscapes and the more sporty way which there, learn to manage the paddle more quickly and try to go fast and overtake others.
It’s up to you to decide how you want to enjoy it.

• You will either be able torent the paddle equipmentand have fun, this is ideal if you already know this activity but do not own one.
• Either do a 5 session course which will allow you to know all the facets of this sport, from the basics to the more complex techniques in order to become a seasoned paddler.
• Or a session that is adaptable to all levels depending on what you are looking for.

Koa Surf School will provide you with all the equipment necessary for the good practice of stand up paddle, which means board, paddle and wetsuit if you wish.

Balance, strength, rhythm, are just one of the emotions you will experience, the others depend on how you are going to paddle . This is the perfect activity if you enjoy discovering the coasts from the ocean.

You will be taught the basics of SUP practice before heading into the ocean and supervised throughout the activity to ensure your safety.

As an ocean activity, lessons are based on weather and tide conditions.
