What if you tried something different this weekend just 40 minutes by car from Foix in Ariège? With caving, you go on an underground exploration of marvelous chasms and you live an extraordinary experience in the serenity and calm of preserved natural sites /strong>.
So embark on a half-day of caving in the Trou du Vent du Pédrou chasm! You will experience an activity that is as sporty as it is fun, ideal for science and adrenaline enthusiasts over ten years old …
You will immediately immerse yourself in the atmosphere of caving with a abseiling 14 meters deep to enter the chasm. A gallery half a kilometer long awaits you there to lift the veil on the secrets of the underground world... Take advantage of the direct proximity to the gallery to observe some stalactites, stalagmites, cave-dwelling faunas, etc.
Unleash your curiosity! Put aside a pair of closed sports shoes and a snack and come meet us on the Town Hall Square in Bélesta. The certified instructor who will welcome you will be responsible for providing you with the caving equipment and explaining how it works, before setting off on foot to the entrance to the chasm. Although it requires a little technicality and physical condition, this chasm is accessible to all levels with the supervision of your instructor!
Good to know:
- Bring a glasses cord or hair elastic if necessary. We advise you to also bring a change of clothes to change into after the session.
- Supervision of the session by a state-certified instructor.
- Equipment provided: waterproof suit and backpack, helmet with lamp, harness, lanyards, carabiners, descender.
- Photos of your half day!
- The outing is organized in several stages: the briefing and the walking time towards the chasm, the exploration of the chasm and the return to the center with the debriefing.
- Allow three hours of activity in total.
- This caving outing is offered every day of the year between 8:30 a.m. and 8:30 p.m.
