The House of Canyoning Adventure: One day, the cavers decided to use rope progression techniques to explore rivers and waterfalls.

Canyoning, nicknamed sun caving, was born! In the Vercors, this activity is practiced, mainly during the day, from May to September and will take you into the heart of torrents with pools of clear water.

Equipped with a neoprene suit, your progress will alternate between abseiling waterfalls, swimming in white water, jumps and natural slides.

Suitable sites that do not require the use of ropes will allow younger children (from 8 years old) to discover this activity through a beautiful aquatic hike.

In the heart of the Vercors, the Maison de l´Aventure Snowshoes is a 48-place lodge open to all and a center for outdoor activities. Alone, in a group or with family, discover our all-inclusive stays in winter. Skiing, snowshoeing, canyoning, dog sledding, etc.

Snowshoes

This ancestral mode of travel has been adapted, notably through the creation of new equipment, to the practice of sports tourism and discovery of nature.

Once you have your pair of snowshoes on, you can then go for a walk in complete freedom in the wildest places of the Vercors.

Depending on the routes chosen, you will be able to adapt your effort to your physical abilities and walk in the footsteps of animals and why not cross those of the wolf.

The House of Mushing Adventure: Sled Dogs

In almost 20 years, the Vercors has become one of the leading sites for the practice of sled dog activities. Its gentle relief and vast wild spaces have earned it the nickname of little Lapland. Raid with night in refuge, day trips, initiation baptisms.

The massif allows us to adapt the routes since we have 50 km of groomed slopes, trails and very large plateaus to taste the joy of “off-track”.

On the program
-Driving a team: for beginners or advanced, you have your own team of 3 or 4 dogs, depending on the weather conditions, your size and the type of service.
-Ski jogging: you use cross-country skiing connected to a dog equipped with a harness. Beautiful escapes in the resolutely Nordic landscapes of the Vercors.
-Cani-rando: a variation of skijoring which is practiced on non-snowy terrain in spring, summer and fall.

The Mushing Adventure House offers you extraordinary adventures under the snow.

The House of Hiking Adventure: Ancient mule paths, fragrant trails with the scent of wild lilac, scree markers for ibexes, ridges opening onto stunning panoramas, secret forests where you may come across stags, does or roe deer, picturesque and refreshing gorges, Grand-Veymont culminating at 2,341 meters with a view of the mythical Mont-Aiguille.

From short walks on the Gagères plateau to major raids in the vastness of the Hauts-Plateaux du Vercors, all the hikes are available to you, to be done on foot or by mountain bike.
Also discover hiking with donkeys.

Orienteering: a sport and a game for everyone. It's up to you to read your map, play with the terrain, build your route. Follow the paths, the streams, cut through the woods or climb the hill, it's up to you!

Your guide will know how to choose the appropriate site in order to make the activity accessible to all audiences.

A friendly approach to the activity to allow everyone to discover development in a vertical environment at their own pace.

Discover and learn about climbing. Learn to overcome your apprehension of heights and master some basic rope techniques, and why not, take your first steps abseiling.

The House of Via Ferrata Adventure

The House of Speleology Adventure: Nearly 3,000 cave entrances listed on the massif.

The result of a long process of water working on the rock which, over millions of years, has hollowed out the limestone, creating hundreds of kilometers of underground galleries.

Equipped with a suit, a helmet with lighting and technical equipment, you will explore one of the cavities.

Far from the usual clichés, caving is an activity that can really be adapted to all levels. The little ones will slip into the Ours or Ferrières cave. A horizontal progression favoring a fun approach to the activity.

The more sporty, after a short initiation phase, will be able to descend into wells, reach galleries decorated with multicolored concretions with unusual shapes, reach rivers with translucent water.
